One weekend in June, I went to Whistler with a friend thanks to Bodwell High School.
2016 is Bodwell’s 25th year and to celebrate, Bodwell created an online photo contest, where they asked students and parents to celebrate Bodwell’s birthday on social media. I participated in the contest by sharing the photo (on the right) and the message (below).
“Happy birthday Bodwell!!! I can´t believe that I have been two terms in Bodwell. This place is more like my home. Here I´ve met people that changed my life and with them I have formed memories for a lifetime. I want to thanks all of the Bodwell Community for making each day the experience of each student unforgettable. #Bodwell25”
I won the contest with 481 votes and as a reward I received an amazing Whistler Trip, where we had a great time. We woke up early Saturday morning to spend lots of time at Whistler. We walked around the village and went shopping. For dinner we went to The Keg Steakhouse, which was included in the prize. At night we stayed at a marvelous hotel called the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. On Sunday, we went to the Tree Trek Adventure. This was where we had a zip line excursion. The thing we liked the most was the zip lines. The weather was great and the views from the zip lines were awesome. Thanks again Bodwell for a wonderful prize and organizing a safe trip for myself and friend. *
*Note: In order to go on the trip, Diana had to get special permission from her parents and prove to be a responsible student with good behaviour from her counsellor. She also had to go with an adult over 19 years of age.
