To celebrate Mexican Independence Day on September 16th, Bodwell’s large Mexican student contingent put on a cultural extravaganza.

Mexican Independence Day is known in Spanish as Grito de Dolores (the Cry of Dolores) that was uttered from the small town, Dolores, near Guanajuato on September 16th, 1810. What followed after this was the Mexican War of Independence. Since 1825 Mexican Independence Day has been celebrated annually on this day.
