In today’s jam-packed assembly to finish the fall 2015 term, we honoured many students with awards as well as showcasing some of the Bodwell student community’s talents.
First of all, we enjoyed Ms Lee’s opening remarks concerning baby bald eagles requiring a rest on the shoulders of the older eagles (an analogy with students at Bodwell requiring the help of the wider staff and student community).
After that, the Bodwell jazz band performed three dainty numbers that have been included below in this article. Teachers then presented students awards for fine arts, citizenship, athletics, the Model UN, Beaver computing challenge, the science fair, prefect pins, and life skills in the boarding program.
Finally, we honoured a number of students who are graduating from Bodwell and unfortunately will not be able to make it to our ceremony in May 2016. Please watch the videos below that include Mr. Griffin and his students’ end of term review slideshow.
A special thank you to Joe McGuinness, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Harvest Project in North Vancouver for coming in to say a few words about how Bodwell students helped raise $300 for the organization.
