HOMESTAY

Your home away from home

There is no better way to gain an understanding of a different culture than to completely immerse oneself in it. Homestay students learn about Canadian culture through new foods, customs, and practices. Students improve their listening and speaking skills through daily interaction with their host family in addition to gaining a measure of independence and responsibility.

Bodwell arranges accommodations with carefully screened host families to suit a student's particular needs. Each student will have a private bedroom in a residence located near the school. Our dedicated program staff works closely with students and families to ensure good relationships and excellent student living conditions.

CONSTANT LEARNING

Becoming a host family has many benefits and not all of them are financial. By hosting, you are committing to provide a comfortable safe living environment for a member of the Bodwell student body. Currently students range in age from 12 to 20 years old. As well as the student learning more about the Canadian way of life, we hope that you also will learn about your student's culture and personality.
