In today’s assembly we celebrated the exceptional achievements of our students for fall term 2015, especially in academics where more students were placed on the honours’ roll than ever before due to their high grade averages. Students received certificates for being the best students and honourable mentions for AEP, English, and other departments of study.

Scholarships were awarded to the 6 best students for each grade as well as awards for most improved students. School colours and awards were presented for academics, boarding, homestay, athletics, arts, civics, music, and P.E.

Mr Burnett acknowledged that fall 2016 was the best period in Bodwell’s athletic program’s history due to the success of the swimming team (who placed 5th in the province), the volleyball team and the cross country team (who were North Shore champions).

In addition, prizes were given for performances in math contests, the robotics team and for top house point earners. Trudeau won the house competition!

There was also an announcement concerning students staying safe while crossing the road in the dark during winter time. Please stay safe and visible at all times!

Beneath you will find two videos: a dedication to the robotics team from Mr. Griffin as well as a dedication to Martin Luther King to celebrate his birthday for January 18th 2016. There are also photos from today.
