At today’s assembly we celebrated our many student achievements, especially in academics. For AEP and regular classes in each grade, the outstanding student and honourable mentions were selected by teachers. Please look through the photos below to see all the award winners.
There were also awards given out for math, science, arts, IT, athletics, P.E., citizenship, boarding, and homestay. An honor roll was shown for all the students receiving A grades for all classes as well as those achieving perfect attendance. The highest achievers were also presented with scholarships towards their school fees.
Students explained about the peer mediation group that is trying to help students solve issues amicably. Ms. Ferrajohn also explained about how the student parliament will be elected this term.
There was a special section dedicated to Himalayan Life, a charitable company that is dedicated to helping victims of the Nepalese earthquake. The leaders including Daniel Burgi (the CEO) were present to accept a cheque raised by Bodwell students and staff for nearly $2,500. We wish them all the best of luck with their continued efforts to help repair and rebuild their adopted village of Yangri.
